PATA Grand and Gold awards add glamour to Sri Lanka's Tourism offer

The Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) sponsored Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) annual awards of recognition for excellence and contribution to the development of global tourism, rewarded the achievements of 21 separate organizations and individuals and named 27 PATA Grand and Gold Award winners on 24th February 2012.
Sri Lanka’s Heritance Tea Factory, has been named for a PATA Grand Award for Heritage and Culture, and Jetwing Sea has earned a PATA Gold in the for their Corporate Environmental Program in the Environment category they will be in the spotlight on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at The Royale Chulan, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, when the awards will be ceremonially presented during the PATA Annual Conference,

The PATA Awards are presented to outstanding entries in four principal categories: Marketing; Education and Training; Environment; and Heritage and Culture. The gold awards were made in 23 categories this year and included a wide range of specializations from marketing to travel journalism.
