Sunday Mondayers Cricket Club Incentive Group - India

NKAR, Your strength for MICE has successfully serviced a Incentive Group (Sunday Mondayers Cricket Club) from India in the month of January with series of events such as Business discussions with Sri Lankan Business community, Friendly networking programs & sporting events, ect

The Group Played a Friendly Soft ball T20 Cricket Match with BRC Colombo (Burgher Recreation Club) over 40  years team & “Sunday Mondayers” from India won the match after a very competitive encounter, the evening went on with a Sri Lankan style cocktail for both teams.

Business discussions program with Sri Lankan Business community was held at Ceylon chamber of commerce & mutually benefiting business  relationships established between Sri Lanka & India during the program.

Success Story of Incentive Group from France

Mr&Mrs. Durand visited Sri Lanka with group of friends to celebrate Mrs. Durand's Birth Day. The Group  stayed 4 Nights in Sri Lanka on a fun & exciting activity filled holiday.  1st day the group proceed to Kandalama paying a visit to Pinnawela Elephant orphanage on the way. The group stayed at Heritance Kandalam Hotel which is a iconic Eco friendly luxury hotel in Sri Lanka. 1st Day evening they had a Bush Dinner with full of Sri Lankan style dancing events & pre arranged but unexpected ambush by Sri Lankan “Vadda community” (Indigenous people) to spice up the evening experience.

 

2nd Day they visited Seegiriya rock Fortress which is a Iconic symbol of Sri Lanka & experienced “Heriwadunna Treck” where they rome around the Village on few Bullock Carts & a canoe ride on a unspoiled lake. They  participated in a cookery demonstration  & had the Lunch in a Rural village Mud Hut. Afterwards visited Kandy which is a UNESCO heritage site & the dinner dress code Them arranged based on French National colors & the Sri Lankan National costume with unexpected competitions & gifts for winners.

 

3rd day they visited Colombo via Kithugala, famous White Water rafting destination & they highly enjoyed the adventures during the water rafting secession. In Colombo  it was another special dinner on a Luxury Floating boat restaurant with specially designed Firework display which the group thrilled about.


Next day the final day of the tour & it was the Highlight of the incentive tour, “City Tour & Fun Rally” the group got in to Tuk Tuks in pares & the directions & clues given to them about the route & activities which they had to follow, the journey filled with Excitement, Fear, competition ect, our team was assisting & monitoring the journey & the points calculated based on the various elements & the Winner & Best looser was given gifts at the end of the Fun rally which they utterly enjoyed.

 

Afterwards the group has done some shopping & fly back to the home country. The success story is soon after they go back we got another group for the same tour recommended by Mr&Mrs. Durand.

Sri Lanka Tourism Achieves Record-Breaking One Million Tourist Arrivals In 2012 - Revenue Hits Over 1 Billion US$

Achieving another remarkable milestone in the country’s booming tourism industry, Sri Lanka Tourism welcomed the arrival of 1,000,000th tourist in year 2012 at Bandaranaike International Airport on 30th December 2012. group of representatives from travel and tourism industry warmly welcomed the guest who arrived in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka Tourism took steps to arrange a special ceremony to welcome the 1,000,000th guest.

At present, the tourism industry has become a major component in bringing about the economic boom in post-conflict Sri Lanka. The peaceful situation of the country and its hereditary beauty intermingle to attract many visitors around the globe. With this positive situation, international investors have begun to expand the domestic market to cater to the potential growth of tourist arrivals in the years to follow. For example, the construction of major tourist hotels such as Shangri La, Centara, Marriot, OZO is underway at present.
