HELLO Magazine UK names Sri Lanka among world's top five exotic destinations to Visit in 2012

UK’s most discerning monthly fashion and lifestyle magazine “HELLO” has named Sri Lanka as one of the top five destinations to visit in year 2012 in their latest issue published last week. Sri Lanka has secured second place among the top five list selected by the magazine being second only to Thailand. The travel experts of the magazine have highlighted that Sri Lanka is becoming one of the most sought after new holiday destinations in the world for the travelers who seek a mix of exotics and excitement.

STAGE SET FOR INTERNATIONAL GOLF EVENT IN AUGUST IN SRI LANKA

Final preparations are underway for Sri Lanka’s first major professional tour golf event to be held at The Royal Colombo Golf Club later this month. The Standard Chartered Open 2012, an event sanctioned by The Professional Golf Tour of India, will run from 15th August to 18th August and will undoubtedly add to Sri Lanka’s reputation and position within the sporting world as a venue for a wide range of sports at international level.

Over hundred golfers are expected to take part in the event as, for the first time ever, Sri Lanka’s sporting public get an opportunity to watch ‘live’ top class golfing action  and see leading local golfers battle it out with top stars from around the region in the chase for prize money of LKR 6.5 million.

Hikkaduwa Marine National Park Opens - Sri Lanka
